dc.description.abstractPolusi lingkungan sebagai akibat dari penggunaan plastik sintetik, yang tidak dapat didegradasi secara alami semakin terbatasnya minyak bumi sebagai bahan baku, menyebabkan penelitian di bidang kemasan semakin dititik beratkan pada polimer hasil pertanian yang dapat didegradasi secara alami.
dc.description.abstractEnvironmental pollution as consequences of the use of nondegradable petroleum-derived plastics and limited petroleum sources have made food packaging research more focused on degradable nature of agriculture origin polymers. Corn protein-zein is one of protein polymer to be promising as a food packaging film. However, the brittleness of pure zein film needs addition of plasticizers which in certain portion would affected the performance of tensile and barrier properties. In this research, we studied the film-forming mechanism, effects of various plasticizers on the film properties, storage condition and degradation of zein based films.en
