| dc.description.abstract | Bajomulyo coastal fishing port (PPP) is located in Pati Regency. PPP Bajomulyo consists of two fish auction (TPI), namely TPI Bajomulyo I and TPI Bajomulyo II. TPI Bajomulyo I is older than TPI Bajomulyo II. One of the dominant fishing gear in PPP Bajomulyo is purse seine, which is not optimal in fishing operation. The study aimed to analyze the technical, business and social aspects, and to determine production factors of fishing operations using purse seine in PPP Bajomulyo. The research used a survey method. The research indicated that technically, purse seines are categorized as surrounding nets. While this bussines analysis showed that purse seine give a profit and the business could be continued. On the other hand the social analysis, purse seine fishers in PPP Bajomulyo come from Indramayu, Brebes, Pekalongan, and Pati. Finally fish hold capacity should be maintenance on purse seine for improving purse seine fishing capacity. | id |
