Corn can be harvested in the form of shelled and of young ears or baby corn. Baby corn varieties in Indonesia are not many at this time, and therefore, development of baby corn varieties is considered potential. This study aimed to evaluate some agronomic characters of local corn and breeding genotypes which are potential to be further developed as baby corn varieties. The experiment conducted at Leuwikopo IPB experimental station at Dramaga, Bogor, from November 2014 to February 2015. The genetic material was consisted of 20 corn genotypes, they were 13 local genotypes and 7 breeding lines. The experimental was arranged in a randomized completely block design with three replication. Traits observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of nodes, day of male flowering, day of female flowering, day first harvest, number of ears per plant, gross weight of ears per plant, net weight of ears per plant, gross weight of ears per fruit, net weight of ears per fruit, ear size (diameter and length), and percentage of marketable and nonmarketable of baby corn ears. The results of analysis of variance showed that there are diversity of corn genotypes tested. High broad sense heritability in all agronomic characters were observed except for gross weight of ears per plant. Linear correlation analysis showed that the earlier the male and female flowering the earlier the days to harvest. Some corn genotypes have more than 2 ear per plant and some showed prolific potential or have several ears in a stem internode. Genotype JWP 2.2, JLP1, G9M7, G1G7. G1M8, and J-CLA 84 have the number of ears per plant more than the other genotypes. Genotype JWP 2.2 has a greater percentage of quality class A than that of Band C, and low percentage of nonmarketable ear. Genotypes potentially developed as baby corn are Bajawa 1.1, JWP 1.2, JWP 2.2, JLP1, G1G7, G1G8, G7M7, and G9M7
