Sardinella lemuru is one of small pelagic fish and become one of fishing target. The aim of this research is to determine the stock status, proper and sustainable management of Sardinella lemuru in the Sunda Strait area based on fish catch landed on PPP Labuan. This research was conducted from May- September 2014. Data analysis consist of sex ratio, length and weight relationship, condition factor, gonadal maturity level, fecundity, length distribution, age group identification, growth parameter, exploitation rate and surplus production model. The result of this research showed that the growth pattern of female Bali Sardinella is negative allometric and the male Bali Sardinella is isometric. Exploitation rate has exceeded the optimum exploitation rate. Surplus production model analysis showed that MSY is 372.46 ton per year and optimum effort amount is 285 trip per year. Management that can be suggested are the limitation of fishing effort and yield, the selectivity of fishing gear, and determine fishing season.en
