Analisis Biplot dan Procrustes Terhadap Perubahan Kurikulum TPB IPB Angkatan 2010/2011 dan 2011/2012

Bogor Agricurtural University is one of the universitity which applied Tingkat Persiapan Bersama (TPB) program. The purpose is to make an equalization of the basic science lessons quality and understanding for the first year students so they could continue the advance education in each of their faculty. Since TPB program was applied until now, there were many changes that were made to upgrade the quality and efficiency of the program. The last change was made for the class of 2011/2012 with the change on Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry course. This study aims is to describe and explore the impact of the curriculum changes which is applied from the class of 2010/2011 to 2011/2012. The Method is comparing the academic achievement between both class with descriptive statistical analysis : scatterplot, boxplot, and biplot and using Procrustes analysis to measure the similarity between both class. Biplot analysis map the departments as object and courses as variable. The result of this study shows that the changes of curriculum which were applied to class of 2011/2012 increase the academic achievement of IPB department’s. Procrustes analysis shows that the biplot of the class of 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 configuration have a 67.4% similarity.
