Hydroxyapatite (HAp) was synthesized using garden snail shell as basic calcium source (Ca(OH)2) and (NH4)2HPO4 as phosphate source. The synthesis was conducted using precipitation double stirring simultaneous method in 4 and 6 hours, and various temperatures of 600, 800, 1000, and 1100 ºC.The results were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and particle size analyzer (PSA). X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the HAp was not yet pure, as the oresence of other phases such as CaCO3, Ca(OH)2, and CaO. The morphology analysis using SEM showed that the particles were granulars with rough surface and not uniform. The average size of particle from PSA of sample A4 was 254.60 nm, while the sample B4 was 226.46 nm. The longer the sonication time, the smaller the particle size.en
