Physicnut (Jatropha curcas) is generally a monoecious plant and can grow well on degraded land in eastern Indonesia, for example in Dompu. While, andromonoecious physicnut still rare. One factor suppressing plant growth and development throughout is drought condition. Physiological response andromonoecious physicnut of three parent plants experiencing drought stress was analyzed based on content of proline and ascorbic acid. Experimental design was used completely randomized factorial design. Andromonoecious physicnut which given drough stress treatment has different physiological responses. Andromonoecious physicnut parent plant number 5 has better response and more tolerant of drought than those of parent plant number 1 and 6. Parent plant number 5 can survive by increasing the number of leaves and proline content until the 15th day, and ascorbic acid content until 12th day of drought stress. In addition, parent plant number 5 also increasing number of lateral roots in 3th day and extending primary root in 9th day of drought stress.
