dc.description.abstractEcological home garden is a knowledge that learn relationship between utilization patterns of home gardens and the owner to describe ecological area, socioeconomic, and culture of the owner. The research aim to compare the diversity of plant home garden in three sub districs of Depok City and the factors affect the home garden patterns. Identification and inventory of plants obtained 52 families and 142 species. This is including 129 species (51 families) in sub district Beji, 118 species (46 families) in sub distric Pancoran Mas, and 107 species (45 families) in sub district Sawangan. People in the three sub district more consederate their home garden in term of aesthetics value than the economic value. Therefore ornamental plants were more common than fruits crops, vegetables, and medicinal herbs. Since most people in the three sub district are employer and their home garden are less than 50 m2, they prefer to utilize the home garden for the ornamental plants than fruit crops and vegetable.en
