dc.description.abstractThe internship activities were conducted in Bagan Kusik estate, PT Harapan Sawit Lestari, West Kalimantan, starting from February 10 to June 10, 2014. The internship activity had given experience and improve the ability of students or skill in oil palm plantations. Harvesting management which had concerned such as crop rotation, crop density figures, ripe harvest criteria, work performance, menpower, and result of transportation. The crop rotation and menpower had been analyzed by using t-student test and corelation test. The result of t-student test showed that there is a significant difference between the standard harvest interval with the realization of production. Based on the results of correlation test is known that the factors of age, length of employment, education level positively correlated to the production of palm oil. The harvesting management implementation from preparation harvest, how to harvest, and transport the FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches) to the mill that had been implemented with good, so that the production of palm oil each year has increased.en
