Manajemen pemupukan kelapa sawit di Sungai Cempaga Estate, PT. Windu Nabatindo Abadi, Bumitama Gunajaya Agro Group, Kalimantan Tengah

Abstract

Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan di Sungai Cempaga Estate (SCME) pada bulan Maret−Juni 2014. Kegiatan magang secara umum bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, memperoleh pengalaman, dan keterampilan kerja dalam pengelolaan kebun kelapa sawit baik teknis maupun manajerial. Tujuan khusus kegiatan magang adalah mempelajari pengelolaan pemupukan tanaman kelapa sawit. Pengamatan khusus dilakukan terkait konsep 4 tepat pemupukan. Pelaksanaan konsep tepat waktu di SCME belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan urutan pemupukan 2014. Curah hujan di SCME cenderung fluktuatif, namun secara umum konsep tepat waktu telah terlaksana dengan baik. Bobot karung untilan telah tepat dosis, namun untuk dosis aplikasi, ketepatannya masih belum 100% tepat. Berdasarkan pengamatan secara visual terdapat defisiensi unsur hara Fe, namun tidak ada jenis pupuk yang diaplikasi yang memiliki kandungan hara tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil kesatuan contoh daun (KCD) 2013 dan rekomendasi departemen riset BGA 2014, semua jenis pupuk yang diaplikasi telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanaman. Ketepatan cara dan tempat di SCME masih harus ditingkatkan.

The Internship activities were carried out at the Sungai Cempaga Estate (SCME) in the month of March to June 2014. The internships generally aimed to increase knowledge, experience, and job skills on the management of oil palm plantations both technical and managerial. The specific objective of internship was to study the fertilizer management of oil palm plantations. Specific observation was carried out relating to the 4 right fertilization concept. Implementation of the on time concept in SCME had not been proper yet to the sequence of fertilization 2014. Moreover rainfall in SCME tended to fluctuate, although on time concept had generally done well. The weight of packet had been in right dose, however it was not 100% right for application dose per oil palm. Based on visually observation was found deficiency of nutrient Fe, yet applying there was no kind of fertilizers which contained of the nutrient. Based on one leaf sampling unit (LSU) 2013 and recommendation of BGA research department 2014, all kinds of fertilizer which were applied had already proper for needs of the plant. The right manners and places in SCME should be improved.
