dc.description.abstract | Tariff is one of the barriers in international trade. In ASEAN, tariff reduction have been made to provide comfort in the trade. ASEAN’s countries take the necessary steps to face ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015. Some of them, trade tariff reduction by using measurements of trade facilitation and cooperation with countries outside ASEAN. Among other cooperation with China, South Korea and Japan. A concept of trade facilitation measures are used as another form of trade tariffs to solve the problem, especially for products that are included in the Priority Integration Sectors (PISs). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of tariffs on trade facilitation and electronic commodities and factors that influence it. The data used in this study are annual data from 2007 through 2012. These models are estimated using a gravity model which is then processed in the form of panels. The results showed different effects on the two commodities. In electronics, trade facilitation provide a better effect and no effect of tariff barriers. This is in contrast with the wood, even though they have used the trade facilitation but there is still a significant effect of tariff barriers. In order for the potential of trade in the ASEAN +3 region can be maximized by good, facilities are available in order to maximize trade well and good coordination among fellow traders | en |
