Pengaruh Belanja Pemerintah Daerah terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Kemiskinan Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Banten

Abstract

Economic growth is one measure of economic development. The high economic growth and low poverty indicates that an area has good public prosperity. To get the high economic growth and low poverty required the maximum role of government, by government expenditure. The purpose of this study was to explain the development of government expenditure and analyzed the influence of government expenditure on economic growth and poverty in Banten Province. This research uses descriptive method and panel data on 8 districts/cities in Banten Province in the periode of 2009-2012. The result indicate that the government expenditure in Banten Province always increase. Based on the model in analysis, goods and service expenditure and capital expenditure have a positive effect and significant contributions to the regional economic growth and also have a negative effect and significant contributions to the poverty.
