Mangrove is one of a group of plants in the tidal area. This study aims to describe community structure of shrimp with relation to mangroves. Research analyzed were species of shrimps in three different sub-habitats are ponds, river, and beaches in the Pabean Ilir and Pagirikan villages, Indramayu. Conditions measurzed include vast, density, and basal cover of mangroves and water quality. The results showed that the extent and mangrove density in the Pagirikan village lower than Pabean Ilir village. Environmental conditions in the two observation stations showed the results do not significant different and still in the range for survival of shrimp. There are eight species of shrimp during the observation, namely Penaeus merguiensis, P. japonicus, P. monodon, Acetes sp., Metapenaeus ensis, M. monoceros, Harphiosquilla raphidae, and M. rosenbergii. Diversity shrimps in the Pabean Ilir slightly higher than Pagirikan, however not significant. Community structure differences found between sub-habitat of ponds, river, and beaches from each of the two observation sites.en
