Almost all parts of cereal sorghum plants can be used, so that sorghum needs to be cultivated and improved quality. Sorghum quality improvement can be done through plant breeding. One of the agronomic characters that need to be improved agronomic quality is yield plants. Sorghum yield was also be affected by other agronomic characters. The great effect on the agronomic characters crop yield can be determined by path analysis and levels of inheritance properties can be determined based on the value of heritability. Agronomic characters under study is the production of dry seeds, total biomass production, biomass production without seeds, 50% flowering, panicle length, plant height, maturity, weight of 1000 seeds, panicle weight, stem diameter, and number of stem segments. The results of this study indicate that yield based on the production of dry seeds (PBK) and total biomass production (PBS) was the most dominant effect of the increase in panicle weight (BM) so BM can be used as selection criteria sorghum plants with moderate levels of heritability. In addition, panicle length (PM) can also be used as selection criteria sorghum because PBS was the most dominant effect of the increase in PM with a high degree of heritability. Yield based on biomass production without seeds (PBTB) was not affected by other agronomic characters.
