The use of highland area for vegetable planting should be reduced to prevent land degardation in the future. Alternative approach is planting adapted superior varieties of kidney bean in lowland area. In order to identified superior variety of kidneybean in lowland area yield trials is neccesary. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate yield of 12 genotypes of kidneybean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) adapted at lowland. This experiment was conducted at Bogor Agricultural University, Experimental Field, IPB, Tajur (250 m above sea level) in November 2013-January 2014, using Randomize Completely Block Design arrangement with single factor and four replications. The factor was 10 genotypes from exploring Java Island, Indonesia. Those genotypes were Lebat 2 (32.05 ton ha-1), Lebat 1 (34.68 ton ha-1), Sukabumi 1 PHTB 14 (33.11 ton ha-1), Garut 3 (34.19 ton ha-1), PHTB 17 (12.34 ton ha-1), PHTB 18 (8.45 ton ha-1), Garut 2 (25.99 ton ha-1), Bogor 2 PHTB 6 (36.94 ton ha-1), PHTB 15 (12.81 ton ha-1), PHTB 16 (16.31 ton ha-1), and two national varieties Lebat 3 (27.82 ton ha-1) and Horti 1 (3.48 ton ha-1) as checks. The result revealed that varieties exhibit significally different for all observed parameters, and Bogor 2 PHTB 6 genotypes showed highest yield.en
