dc.description.abstractLabuan Fishing Port is growing fish landing place around the Sunda Strait. Threadfin Bream include demersal fish with most catch is 14%. The purpose of this study was to assess the condition of the Threadfin Bream in Sunda Strait. In this study, used the surplus production models and ELEFAN I methods. The results showed that exploitation rate of Threadfin Bream males and females respectively are 0.87/year and 0.77/year. Bioeconomic analysis results showed that the optimum production level on utilization for Threadfin Bream resourches was 1 836.05 tons/year; the optimum effort levels on utilizations for Threadfin Bream resourches was 750 trips/year; and the optimum economic rent levels on utilizations for Threadfin Bream resourches was Rp 36 608 932 573/year. Now, Threadfin Bream resourches was indicated has biological overfishing and economic overfishing. One of the effort to overcome it is to reduce the excessive input by limiting fishing effort and fish diversion targets.en
