dc.description.abstractSleep is a condition when the brain does not process the information from sensory neurons and does not give the command to motor neurons. During the sleep, a person experiences memory consolidation encompassed process of storing and disposing of information obtained when awake. The aim of this research is to determine sleep quality of factory workers in Bogor region. The sleep quality of a person can be determined using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The sleep quality was obtained from seven components: subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbances, use of sleeping medication, and daytime dysfunction. Based on the observations in three factories in Bogor region, female workers have worse sleep quality than male workers. The majority of male workers who have good sleep quality contained in the 15-39 year age class and poor sleep quality are the 40-54 year age class. The majority of female workers who have good sleep quality contained in the 30-54 year age class and poor sleep quality are the 15-29 year age class.en
