dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research was to study estimation of the general combining ability (GCA), the specific combining ability (SCA), the heterosis and the heterobeltiosis of fifteen hybrids and performances of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) in half diallel crosses. This research was conducted at Genetic and Plant Breeding Laboratory and IPB Experimental Field, Leuwikopo, Dramaga, Bogor, from March-July 2013. The experimental design used was randomized complete block design (RCBD) single factor with three replications. Plant materials were six tomato inbred lines, fifteen hybrids from hybridization half diallel crosses and three commercial hybrids. Genotype IPB T3 x IPB T73, IPB T13 x IPB T64 had the best combining ability, heterosis, heterobeltiosis and performances in several traits observed.en
