| dc.description.abstract | Bouke ship ami a squid fishing boat but has a different design to the squid jigging vessels because of the way the operation of fishing gear. Generally, this ship is a ship which is modified from the previous ship types. The purpose of this study was to analyze the design and construction of ships boukeami based ship shape and dimension ratio. In addition, another goal was to analyze the type of wood used in the construction of ships and the timber size. Dimentional ratio showed that L/B was 3,7 meters, L/D was 9,7509 meters, and B/D was 2,6353 meters. Coefficient of fineness of this ship implied in the coefficient of fineness studied by Iskandar and Pujiati (1995). It means that this ship included in typical static gear in Indonesai. Type of wood used for the construction of the ship is the same as that set by the BKI. This showed that some of wooden beam used in ship construction complied with BKI’s rules, however some of them were not. | en |
