dc.description.abstract | One of fishing gears for catching cookles in Blanakan waters is dredge gear. A factor affecting success of fishing operation on dredge gear is the use of appropriate tooth space. The objectives of this reasearch were to determine catch composition of dredge gear and to determine effect of difference tooth space on catch number, weight, and size distribution of cookles. The tooth space used in this reasearch was 1 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm. This research indicated that catch mostly, of dredge gear was by cookles which constituted 86.47%, followed by shrimp red greasiback (3.86%) and cookles (3.46%). Based on the ANOVA test on weight and catch number, it is indicated that there was no significant different with value of probability were 0.09 and 0.06, respectively. Then, ANOVA test on size distribution of cookles indicated that there was significant different with value of probability 0.00. | en |
