This study aims to obtain information on the performance of agronomic characters and yield components of sorghum F8 lines, to conduct yield trials of 17 F8 lines derived from a cross between Numbu x UPCA S1 in acid soils and to identify lines that have better yield than the parental lines. This study was conducted from March to August 2013 at the Experimental Field of BPTP Lampung, District Natar, South Lampung. The plant material used is 17 strain of sorghum varieties from crosses F8 Numbu as female parents and UPCA S1 as the male parent. The results of analysis of variance showed that the strain are not significantly different in harvesting time and weight of panicles but were significantly different to the character of stem diameter, number of leaves, flowering, seed / panicle weight and weight of 1000 seeds, as well as highly significant and a positive for plant height and panicle length. Positive correlation and highly significant was shown by panicle length with seed / panicle weight and weight of 1000 seeds. The N/UP-4-8, N/UP-48-2, N/UP-118-7, N/UP139-1, N/UP-139-5, N/UP-159-9 dan N/UP-166-6 strain are strain that have seedpanicle-1 weight larger than average strain evaluationen
