The cooling process is one of the handlers catches a very needed by fishermen in maintaining the quality of the catch. The process of cooling or freezing as long as this is done by most fishermen still use the ice and still highly dependent on the availability of the ice. On some fishing vessel refrigeration technology is implemented, but electrical energy needed is still mostly supplied from use of motor fuels that are less environmentally friendly. This gave rise to the idea to find alternative sources of energy in order to obtain some solution of the problem. The purpose of this research is: (1) find out the minimum wind speed needed to fill the electric power to the storage system; (2) know the length of time it takes to do the charging system into storage until it is full; and (3) find out the time used to spend the stored energy and temperature are achieved. The results of this research show that the minimum wind speed needed to play the wind turbines which amounted to 16.2 km/h and produces turbine rotation speed of 41.2 rpm. The time it takes to charge the accumulator 45 Ah to the brim with an average wind speed of 17.5 km/h, the average turbine rotation speed of 53.6 rpm and average electric current generated 2.4 ampere is 18 hours 45 minutes. The time it takes to reduce the accumulator voltage to 6 volts is 2 hours 1 minute 59 seconds and generate temperatures of 3.5 °C. Experimental results show that the wind can be used as an alternative source of energy on a small scale refrigeration designed.en
