dc.description.abstract | Improving Academic Achievement (PPA) scholarship is intended for students who have high achievements, while Student Learning Assistance (BBM) scholarship is intended for students whose parents are less capable and have good achievement. Achievements can be measured using the Grade Point Average (GPA). Therefore, to determine the characteristics of the student who receive scholarship done by classification methods based on GPA. The data which being used are online PPA and BBM extension questionnaire. Explanatory variables were analyzed by 20 variables with the response variable is student’s final GPA. The method for this classification is CART (Classification and Regression Trees) with a regression tree. The regression tree of PPA scholarship recipent produces four terminal nodes with an average GPA at initial node is 3.413, the most effective variable in the of partition the node are students father’s occupation, income per capita per month and students income per month. BBM scholarship produces six terminal nodes with an average of GPA for the initial node was 3.014, the explanatory variable that used for partioning were insulating the income per capita per month, child’s, father’s education, father’s occupation, and region of origin. | en |
