Many studies have been carried out on trengguli’s leaf due to its various secondary metabolites having bioactive properties. This study covered extraction, fractionation of chemical components, and characterization of compounds contained in the isolated fractions. The extraction was done by maceration of leaves sample in methanol. Phytochemical tests on the methanol extract indicated the presence of alkaloid, flavonoid, phenolic, tannin, and steroid as the secondary metabolites. Fractionation performed by vacuum liquid chromatography method produced 7 fractions. Analysis of fraction B on thin layer chromatography (TLC) indicated a single stain in various eluents, supported by the 2-dimensional TLC and spraying with cerium sulfate results. Identification by using gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, combined with ultraviolet-visible and Fourier transformed infrared spectrophotometer suggested that fraction B contained nonpolar compounds, including is fatty ester.en
