Regulations of the Republic of Indonesia Number 45 of 2009 stated that government and local government have to establish information system of fisheries so that the fisheries information can be easily and quickly accessed by the community. However, in particular information systems of fisheries that contain distribution and statistical data of economically important fishes in Indonesia are still less than optimal. The purpose of this research is to build the application of information system that contains the spatial distribution of economically important fishes in Indonesia and to determine the distribution of shrimp, tuna, skipjack tuna and bullet tuna based on statistical data of marine capture fisheries. The result of this study is web-based application called Information System of Distribution of Economically Important Fishes in Indonesia. This application can be accessed at http://siikan.site90.net. The main information presented in this application is time series of fisheries statistical data from 2003 to 2011 based on province in Indonesia. Through this information system, it can be seen that the shrimp, skipjack tuna and bullet tuna are found in all provinces in Indonesia, while the tuna are not found in the province of Riau, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, Jambi, South Sumatra, and Central Kalimantan.
