dc.description.abstractBiosurfaktan merupakan senyawa aktif permukaan yang dihasilkan oleh mikroba. Senyawa ini mempunyai sifat-sifat khas dan aplikasi yang luas seperti pengemulsi, pembahas, pendispersi dan bahan pembersih. Namun sejauh ini pemanfaatannya di industri masih terbatas terutama karena produktivitas mikroba penghasil biosurfaktan yang rendah dan mahalnya substrat yang digunakan, sehingga harganya belum dapat bersaing dibandingkan dengan surfaktan sintetik.
dc.description.abstractBiosurfactants are surface-surface agents that produced by microorganism. These compounds have specific characters and wide application, such as emulsifier, wetting, dispersion and cleaning agents. The utilization of biosurfactant in industry is very limited due to low yield and high cost of its production compared to synthetic surfactant. On the other side, biosurfactants have advantages, such as low toxicity, biodegradable and effective on a wide temperature, pH and salinityrange. In industrial application, it is also need a good design to scale up production using suitable parameter.en
