dc.description.abstractShoreline change is the result of a combination of natural processes (waves, tides, currents and sedimentation) and humans. Tangerang regency, as one district that has a long coast until 51 km can not be separated from environmental damage that occurs due to coastal erosion. purpose of this study was to identify the changes that occur in the shoreline along the coastal areas of Tangerang regency by utilizing satellite imagery, Geographic Information Systems. and predict the rate of erosion along coastal areas of Tangerang regency. This study is expected to provide an overview of the condition of coastal areas against the threat of Tangerang regency abrasi. Depend on the result, predictive analysis of Kronjo district has an average erosion rate of 16.3 m / year, abrasion rate of the kemiri is 9,295 m / year, Mauk abrasion average rate of 20.9 m / year, Sukadiri with an average erosion rate of 5.2 m / year, Paku Haji abrasion average rate of 14.3 m / year, in Teluk Naga district average erosion rate of 19.67 m / year and average speed of abrasion on Kosambi is 3.2 m / year. Based on these results indicated mangrove forest damage has occurred, so it is necessary to protect coastal areas handling both made by building a protective beach or in a natural way by planting mangroves.en
