Developing Indonesian fishery sector needs solution in handling feed ingredients. An effort that has been carried out is the use of rumen fluid to lower crude fiber content of feed ingredients. Previous reasearch showed activities of several enzymes in sheep rumen fluid. The enzyme activity values were cellulase (0.015 ± 0.31), amylase (0.14 ± 0.016), protease (0.11 ± 0.016), and lipase (0.03 ± 0.011) IU/mL, respectively. The cellulase enzyme activity will degrade fibers which are difficult to digest to become easily digested by the fish. Optimum pH and storage time has to be known to make efficient the use of rumen fluid to degrade fibers in feed ingredients. The study was conducted at incubation temperature of 30 °C with the pH of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 as well as the storage time of 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks. The results showed that the cellulase enzyme activity of sheep rumen fluid was optimum at pH 8.0, that is 0.00149 IU/mL. Stability of the enzyme activity was obtained at pH 8.0 with storage time for 4 weeks.en
