| dc.description.abstract | Eco-house is the applying of an ecological design on building. In Indonesia, Baduy Dalam community are examples of people who still have and perform local knowledge in their lifestyle including implementing ecological design in their homes. In this research, has been performed an analysis of thermal comfort in Baduy Dalam homes. The analysis had been performed by using three combinations of roof, wall and floor materials in Baduy Dalam’s house which are ceramic- brickceramic; concrete-brick- ceramic and asbestos cement-brick-ceramic. The analysis performed by a simulation techniques using a computer program Computational Fluid Dynamic (Solidworks 2011) to get a distribution model of air temperature, air movement, and relative humidity(RH) in the building. The input of environmental data such as temperature, RH, solar radiation, and wind speed used a 13 November 2010’s datas. The simulations carried out at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 19:00, 21:00, and 23:00. The simulation results of the most unsatisfied thermal comfort conditions using a combination 1 materials are; temperature 55.52°C, RH 20.71%, air flow 0.064 m/s, combination 2 are temperature 59.58°C, RH 17.10%, air flow 0.085 m/s, and combination 3 are; temperature 50.56°C, RH 24.14%, and air flow 0.065 m/s. The simulation results show that the worst conditions are combination 2 (concrete roof, brick walls and cement floor). The highest temperature is 59.58 ° C at 13:00. Modifications is made to the worst house condition by adding vents on the Baduy Dalam house and the results are temperature was -22.07°C lower at Imah and -22.24°C lower at Tepas. | en |
