The aim of this study was to analyze the risk factors for under nutritional status of childbearing age. The design was cross-sectional study, and samples were 200 childbearing age of women in Bogor. Of these childbearing ages, a sub sample of 45 women was collected for blood analysis i.e. Haemoglobin, ferritin, serum folic acid, serum vitamin A. Data were collected on socio-economic status and other demographic parameters. Dietary intake of macro and micronutrients was collected with 2-day 24-hour dietary recall method. The Chi-square (X2) and logistic regression analysis were applied for the hypotheses testing. The results show that the highest percentage of childbearing age of woman had deficit of energy (71.5%), protein (56.5%), iron (70.0%), vitamin A (62.5%) and vitamin C (88.0%). As amount 14.0% of women were founded to be underweight and also 12.5% of women had low of mid upper arm circumference (MUAC). Chi-square test showed that education level of respondents was significant related with BMI (p=0,017), in the other hands, %RDA of energy was significant related with MUAC (p=0,009). The risk factor of underweight was education level (OR=2.569; 95% CI: 1.045-6.315) (p=0.04); and risk factor of chronic energy deficient (MUAC <23.0) was %RDA of energy (<80%) (OR=0.263; 95% CI: 0.075-0.916) (p=0.03). About 11.1%; 13.3%; 4.0% and 64.4% childbearing age women were anemia, iron depletion, iron deficient anemia and vitamin A deficient, respectively, but no women were deficient of folic acid. Chi-square test showed that there were no variables significantly related with anemia and iron deficient (p>0.05), %RDA of vitamin A was significant related with vitamin A status (p=0.005). The risk factor of vitamin A status was %RDA of vitamin A (<77%) (OR=0.136; 95% CI: 0.029-0.635) (p=0.01).en
