Social and Economic Support Family To Elderly Quality of Life and Well-Being In Bogor

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1)Identifying and analyze differences in socioeconomic characteristics, social and economic support quality of life and wellbeing of the elderly living alone and elderly live with children, (2) Analyze relationship socio-economic characteristics, social and economic support to the quality of life and well-being of the elderly, (3)Analyze the factors that affect quality of life and well-being of the elderly. The results showed there are differences in quality of life between elderly living alone and elderly live with children in term of economic support in the fulfillment of food, clothing among the elderly live alone and the elderly live with children. There are no significant differences in social support and welfare of the elderly but difference is in the condition of the house is currently occupied. There is significant relationship exists between the economic characteristics of individuals with the support of the work and age with quality of life. There is a relationship between economic and social support to the quality of life. And there is a relationship between quality of life and welfare of the elderly. Factors affecting the quality of life are the age and support awards and that affects the welfare of the elderly is the quality of life with dimensions of the psychological health and environment.
