Mahogany bark (Swietenia macrophylla King) contain active compound which have antihyperglycemic activity. This research was aimed at investigating the effect of mahogany bark on blood glucose concentration and histopathology in rat’s pancreas which induced alloxan. On this research Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups, each group were 5 rats, A (NaCl 0.9% + aquades), B (aloxan + aquades), C (aloxan + Glibenclamide 0.25 mg/kg BW), D (aloxan + water extract of mahogany bark 250 mg/kg BW), and E (aloxan + metanol extract of mahogany bark 250 mg/kg BW). Blood glucose concentration defined by using Accu-Chek® Active glucometer. Pancreas histopathology analysis was carried out with Haematoxylin Eosin (HE) staining and observed under light microscope. Result showed water extract of mahogany bark can decrease blood glucose concentration from 173,2 mg/dL to 94 mg/dL (45,73%) and methanol extract of mahogany bark can decrease blood glucose concentration from 118,6 mg/dL to 88 mg/dL (25,80%). Result of histopathology showed there was improvement on pancreas gland. Methanol extract given better restoration effect on the islets of Langerhans than water extracten
