Ammonium is the major nitrogen source in rice. Nitrate assimilation pathway can be modified by introducing CsNitr1-L gene encoding nitrite transporter to increase the rate of nitrate and nitrite transport. The more efficienct nitrogen absorbtion can increase plant productivity. The aim of this research was to determine the phenotype expression of CsNitr1-L gene of transgenic rice on various doses of nitrogen fertilization. Transgenic rice seed was selected by nitrite solution 30 mM and PCR. Transgenic plants treated with four different concentration of urea fertilizer (0, 100, 200, and 300 kg/ha), experience were done in three replicates. Result shown that there were significant corelation (P<0.05) between dosage and rice varieties to all response variables. The most efficient nitrogen absorbtion of transgenic rice was 37.84% on doses 100 kg/ha. This doses produced growth of 80.07 cm plant height, tiller number as many as 10.71 stem, panicle number as many as 16, and grain yield of 43.72 g/grove. Non-transgenic rice generate growth and good results with a dose of 200 kg/ha.en
