dc.description.abstract | Jatropha curcas was known as an alternative source of biodiesel to complement fossil fuel. In vitro multiplication can produce seeds of J. curcas in high amount and uniformed. The aim of this research was to find the combination of plant growth regulators (PGR) to stimulate physic nut growth from single node cuttings in vitro to produce shoots and roots. This research was designed in group randomized with 16 combinations of initiation and multiplication treatment. Concentrations of IAA in the initiation and multiplication media were 0; 0.01; 0.05; 0.10 mg/l whereas concentrations of BAP were 0; 0.10; 0.50; 0.80 mg/l. 80-100% explants gave shoots within 7-10 days. Concentrations of IAA in rooting treatment were 0; 0.10; 0.50; 1.00 mg/l. 325 buds were subcultured to rooting media after 4-8 weeks; 6.46% of them initiated roots in 22-60 days after subcultured. IAA 0.10 mg/l and BAP 0.80 mg/l stimulated multiple shoots, whereas 0.10 mg/l of IAA in rooting media stimulated root formation. | en |
