The internship was conducted at Angsana Estate, PT Ladangrumpun Suburabadi, District of Tanah Bumbu, South Borneo on February 15th to June 15th 2010. The internship aims to increase knowledge about the cultivation of oil palm both technical and managerial, in addition, an internship is to review the management of oil palm crop fertilization on crop yield, analyze the factors that affect the efficiency and effectiveness of fertilization and its influence on palm oil production. Data collection was conducted on the collection of primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained by observation and analysis of the efficiency (time, cost, and labor), effectiveness (the right time, right dose, right type, and the right way), nutrient deficiency, the productivity of oil palm, interviews with employees, foremen, and assistant. Secondary data obtained from data given by the cation garden and library administration. The data obtained was analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. The outcomes of this internship showed that fertilization in Angsana Estate has been realized with good accordance with the budget and in compliance with the concept of the effectiveness of the right kind and proper manner, but has not met the concept of timely and appropriate dosage. Angsana Estate also has met the concept of fertilizer efficiency that is efficient time, cost and labor. Nutrient deficiency in oil palm plantations do not provide significant effect on palm oil production because fertilizer has been adjusted based on the results of leaf analysis done by Minamas Research Centre. The existence of difference in productivity Angsana Estate with existing standards may be caused by variables other than fertilization.en
