Pengaruh Pemupukan N, P, Dan K Terhadap Kandungan Klorofil, Karoten, Dan Vigor Daya Simpan Benih Kedelai (Glycine Max.(L.) Merr.)
Abstract
Success of a development program on soybean production must not be separated from the quality of seeds used. Moreover, seeds determine the success of soybean production up to 95%. Therefore, it is necessary to study the effect of N, P, K fertilization on the chlorophyll and carotene content, and seed vigor on soybean in order to look for a correlation between them. The research was conducted at IPB Experiment Station in Leuwikopo and Seed Technology Laboratory, IPB on February until July 2011. The design used in this experiment was Split Plot Design. The first factor was soybean varieties (Anjasmoro and Detam 1). The second factor was NPK fertilization (without fertilizer, NPK, NP, NK, and PK). Observations included vegetative observations and production of seed, chlorophyll and carotene content, potential viability, and storability vigor of the seeds. The results of this research showed that there was a relationship between fertilization variations factor of N, P and K significantly affect chlorophyll and carotene content which determine seed quality. Detam 1 showed that chlorophyll and carotene content was higher than Anjasmoro. Detam 1 was fertilized NK contained highest carotene (8.31 mol/100gram), whereas Detam 1 without fertilizer showed the lowest ones (1.80 mol/100gram). The highest chlorophyll content presented in Detam 1 without fertilization (4,61 mol/100gram), while the lowest was Detam 1 with NK fertilization (0.89 mol/100gram). Treatment of varieties and fertilizer affect on storability vigor of soybean seeds through chemical deterioration. Application Detam 1 without fertilizer showed highest vigor storability up to (72%), whereas Anjasmoro without fertilizer treatment has lowest vigor storability (13.33%.) Electroconductivity is not affected by the provision of fertilizer and varieties but affected by the interaction of both. Correlation was found between chlorophyll content toward seed storability vigor 0.75371*
