| dc.description.abstract | Purse seiners are the most dominant type of fishing boat at Lampulo fishing ~rt, Banda Aceh, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. These fishing boats are operated \WJthe Exclusive Economic Zone of Indonesia but generally in a short period of thne (3 -6 days per trip). Such Sh011 trip duration is probably due to lack of boat L bility. The objective of this research was to calculate and to determine the ~bility of the fishing boats. Atadroe, one of the fishing boats, was used in this £search. This boat has ratios of its principle dimensions as follows: LIB = 3,93; ~D = 11,10; BID = 3,05. The LIB and BID are within ranges of standard values ~r purse seiners. The coefficients of fineness of the boat are as follows: Cw = ~8 3; Cvp = 0,58; Cp= 0,61; C® = 0,76; and Cb 0,46. Such coefficients indicate that Atadroe has a slim hull that makes less water resistance which enables the i>at to move at high speed. On the other hand, KM Atadroe has a fish hold with inall capacity and less maneuverability. A series of analysis on static and ~amic stabilities with 5 load conditions and 3 load positions concluded that the ~at has a good stability with positive righting arms and all of its stability ~rameters comply with the IMO standard criteria. However, the rolling period of tie boat ranges from 3,02 - 3,18 seconds which are shorter than the standard ~lues (5,5 - 7 seconds). Its rolling period indicates that the boat does not comply !lth the standard working condition for a fishing boat. The boat can be moved in lifld out in both marine and riverine waters easily since its draft changes slightly within a range of 0,013 - 0,015 m. | en |
