Understanding of the tidal phenomenon could support in management of resources. Since the tidal pattern is different for each region, it needs to be presented in an informative media like tidal chart, showing an information co-tide, corange, and tidal type contours. This study aims to investigate tidal wave propagation, distribution of major tidal harmonic constants, and areas that have the same tidal type Indonesia waters. The major tidal harmonic constants data (M2, S2, N2, K2, K1, O1, were obtained from Indonesian Naval Hydrographic Office (Dishidros TNI AL). method used to interpolate values of major tidal harmonic constants is spline interpolation. Software implemented to create contour is terramodel. The results that the semidiurnal tidal wave propagate mainly from the Indian Ocean into Indonesian seas through Malacca Strait, Sunda Strait, Lombok Strait, Sawu Arafura Sea. Contours of tidal constants in shallow waters are more tightly that in the deep waters, from Natuna Sea to Bangka Belitung waters there exists types: diurnal, mixed tide prevailling diurnal, mixed tide prevailling semidiurnal, and semidiurnal. However, in general tidal type in Indonesia waters is dominated by mixed prevailling semidiurnal, because it is situated between the Indian and Pacific where mixed tide prevailing semidiurnal type is dominant. Ketersediaan peta sangat berguna dalam mendukung kegiatan pembangunan kelautan contohnya peta laut untuk kegiatan maritim. Kegiatan maritim misalnya navigasi pelayaran, eksplorasi sumber daya laut, perikanan, riset dan rekayasa laut serta militer. Salah satu peta laut adalah peta pasang surut (pasut). Peta pasut informasi kontur co-tidal dan kontur co-range, kontur co-tide menyajikan garisgaris pada peta yang menghubungkan titik-titik waktu pasut yang sama dan kontur corange menyajikan garis-garis yang menghubungkan titik-titik amplitudo sama, serta tipe pasut yang menyajikan daerah dengan jenis pasut yang sama. Peta pasut dibuat oleh Wyrki pada tahun 1961 dan Pariwono pada tahun 1985, peta-peta dibangun dari data yang minim dan menyajikan empat konstanta harmonik utama. Peta pasut Wyrtki (1961) dan Pariwono (1985) berupa peta pasut daerah Tenggara, dimana peta dari Pariwono (1985) dibangun dari 580 data stasiun pengamatan pasut, tetapi untuk area Indonesia hanya 248 lokasi. Dishidros TNI AL lembaga resmi nasional yang salah satu tugasnya mendukung data pasut kepentingan militer dan sipil, mempunyai kegiatan pengamatan pasut di lokasi pernah diamati maupun yang baru, sehingga koleksi data pasut Perairan Indonesia terus bertambah.
