      Abstract
alternatives solution for fish farmers to control the infection of A. hydrophila in cyprinid culture. It was easier and more possible to implement for fish culture. The aimed of this research was to know the concentration of A. hydrophila in media aquaculture that can cause Motile Aeromonad Septicemia (MAS) of the cyprinids and to know the effect of probiotic B. firmus in controlling growth of A. hydrophila. This research comprised 4 treatments with 3 replications, namely: PAP treatment (A. hydrophila 102cfu/ml + B. firmus 106cfu/ml every 2 days for 2 week), PAS (A. hydrophila 102cfu/ml + B. firmus 106 cfu/ml and siphon every 2 days for 2 week), PC (A. hydrophila 102cfu/ml + B. firmus 108cfu/ml every 2 days for 2 week), and PK (no addition). Data were analyzed descriptively, using tables, graphs and figures. The results showed that the concentration of A. hydrophila on media aquaculture that can cause Motile Aeromonad Septicemia (MAS) of the cyprinids were around 107-108 cfu/ml, and might be worst when the cyprinids were stressfull. The best results of this research was PAP treatment (A. hydrophila 102cfu/ml +B. firmus 106cfu/ml every 2 days for 2 week) with survival rate 100%.
