Variety, Abundance, and Distribution of Fish Larvae and Juveniles in Cimaja and Citiis Estuaries, Gulf of Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi, West Java

dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the variety, abundance, community structure and distribution patterns of larval fish associated with environmental factors in estuary waters Citiis and Cimaja River, Gulf of Palabuhanratu. Sampling larval and juvenile fish is done on two different types of habitats, namely the mouth of the river and the sea area around the estuary of the river using larvae nets and sirib every month from March to July 2011. Type of fish larvae obtained during the study amounted to 3137 individuals consisting of 6 orders, 12 families, 10 genera and 10 species, while the juvenile type obtained amounted to 184 individuals consisting of 8 orders, 16 families, 18 genera and 18 species been identified. Relative abundance of larval and juvenile fish species Sicyopterus sp. has the largest abundance value in the location Citiis and Cimaja River estuary, whereas the relative abundance in marine locations around the estuary of the river is generally about the same. Location of marine ecosystems around the estuary of the River has a relatively balanced compared with the location of the river estuary. The pattern of spread of larvae and juveniles according morisita index, it is known that the pattern of species distribution is almost random (<1) but there are some species such as, Secutor indicius and Sicyopterus sp. which is the group (> 1). Based on the results of linear regression analysis between factor abundance with environmental factors, the overall temperature factor has a negative correlation coefficient value of abundance. Recommendations for the management of SDI, especially in the Gulf of Palabuhanratu among other things, the determination of conservation areas to fish migration. In addition, local governments are expected to more assertive in providing policy against limitation / reduction in the number of arrests impun "nyalawean tradition" by people around the Gulf of Palabuhanratuen
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis, kelimpahan, struktur komunitas dan pola distribusi larva ikan yang berkaitan dengan faktor lingkungan di perairan muara Sungai Cimaja dan Citiis, Teluk Palabuhanratu. Pengambilan contoh larva dan juvenil ikan dilakukan atas perbedaan dua tipe habitat, yaitu daerah muara sungai dan daerah laut sekitar muara sungai menggunakan Larvae net dan sirib setiap satu bulan sekali dari Maret-Juli 2011. Jenis larva ikan yang didapatkan selama penelitian berjumlah 3137 individu yang terdiri dari 6 ordo, 12 famili, 10 genus, dan 10 spesies, sedangkan jenis juvenil yang didapatkan berjumlah 184 individu yang terdiri dari 8 ordo, 16 famili, 18 genus, dan 18 spesies yang teridentifikasi. Kelimpahan relatif larva dan juvenil ikan dari jenis Sicyopterus sp. memiliki nilai kelimpahan terbesar di lokasi muara Sungai Cimaja dan Citiis, sedangkan kelimpahan relatif di lokasi laut sekitar muara Sungai secara umum hampir sama. Lokasi laut sekitar muara Sungai memiliki ekosistem yang relatif seimbang dibandingkan dengan lokasi muara sungai. Pola penyebaran jenis larva dan juvenil menurut indeks morisita, diketahui bahwa pola distribusi spesies hampir bersifat acak (<1) namun ada beberapa spesies seperti, Secutor indicius dan Sicyopterus sp. yang bersifat kelompok (>1). Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linier antara faktor kelimpahan dengan faktor lingkungan, secara keseluruhan faktor suhu memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi yang negatif terhadap kelimpahan. Rekomendasi terhadap pengelolaan SDI terutama di daerah Teluk Palabuhanratu diantaranya, penentuan daerah konservasi terhadap ikan-ikan yang melakukan migrasi. Selain itu, diharapkan Pemerintah setempat lebih tegas dalam memberikan kebijakan terhadap pembatasan/ pengurangan jumlah penangkapan impun “tradisi nyalawean” oleh masyarakat sekitar Teluk Palabuhanratu.
