dc.description.abstractWaste management aspect was the focus of internship in PT Inti Indosawit Subur from March to June 2011. Besides producing the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Kernel Palm Oil (KPO), palm oil industry also produces waste that should be management properly. PT Inti Indosawit Subur has 5.549 ha of palm oil plantation. The processing unit produce some wastes such empty fruit bunch (EFB), palm oil mill effluent (POME), and solid. EFB, POME and Solid have been used in field as organic fertilizer that can reduce usage of inorganic fertilizer. The observation was made on the performance from different block with different treatment of fertilizer / waste application of the workers who spread the empty fruit bunch, the POME flow rotation, flatbed average size, and comparing the crop production. From observation, there was suggested that application of EFB should be improved on supervising to avoid restand. Aplication of POME should also be improved on rotation of application to match with schedule. The comparison of productivity and average weight of fruit bunch proved that application of EFB and POME were effective to reduce inorganic fertilizer without reducing productivity and weight of fruit bunch.en
