| dc.description.abstract | Patchouli (P. cablin Benth) is an aromatic plant that produces essential oil. Patchouli oil is needed in chemical, perfume, cosmetics, and health industries. Patchouli seeds by conventional cutting procurement had several problems, therefore techniques of tissue culture was taken as a solution. Expensive culture medium has led to increased seed prices. In order to look for an alternative to replace the MS (Murashige-Skoog) basic medium, we tried to use compound fertilizer medium. The objective of this research was to determine the best concentration of compound fertilizer with the addition of 10% coconut water or BAP of 0.5 mg / l for the multiplication of patchouli in vitro. Data of growth parameters (number of leaves, number of shoots, shoot height) of patchouli in the medium was observed after 3 Months After Culture (MAC). The compound fertilizer medium at 2 g / l was the best concentration compared to the other concentrations, although the value was still far below the growth on MS medium. | en |
