dc.description.abstractCurcuminoid and flavonoid can inhibit cancer cells growth. Both compounds are contained in Curcuma domestica Va and Curcuma xanthorrhiza while Zingiber zerumbet only contains flavonoid. The objective of this study was to determine the potency of C. domestica Va, C. xanthorrhiza Roxb, and Z. zerumbet mixed extract as inhibitor of colon cancer cells HCT (ATCC-CCL 116). The rhizomes were extracted using Huda and 96% ethanol methods. The toxicity test of extracts against Artemia salina showed that 50% lethal concentration (LC50) of 96% ethanol extract was lower than Huda’s method extract. The LC50 values of C. domestica Va, C. xanthorrhiza Roxb, and Z. zerumbet extract were 93.2; 9.1, and 21.2 ppm, respectively.en
