| dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the poverty issue of coastal people is still the top issue of developing maritime and fishery sector. There is apotential problem solving the issue of poverty through empowering women of coastal people. Women population is slightly more than half of the total population of Indonesia. The proportion of woman population is about the same of coastal area. This big number plus high quality skills render huge social ecomomic potensials. The main reason of this research is one step to pull poverty out through gender perspective and contribution, especially by improving women roles. The conservation of gender approach is that poverty issue and gender have the same root; poverty will cause difference of gender level, vice versa difference of gender level will cause poverty. Meanwhile women roles are not comprehended yet, or else it is not followed up by real action to take benefits from the roles. The objectives of this research are to analyze coastal women activities, knowing factors determining income, knowing the contibution of coastal women income to family's. This research uses multiple regresion analysis method. The final conclusion of the study is that coastal women, out of in house family daily activities regularly, do productive and social activities. On the other hand, men do only productive and social activities. Women contribute family income positively, but men roles of making a decision is still dominant. | en |
