Analisis pembentukan perilaku hemat listrik dengan pendekatan norm activation model (kasus pelanggan listrik rumahtangga di Kota Bogor)

Abstract

The use of electrical energy is an important factor to support some activities in daily life, industries, households, educational activities, transportations, lightings, and communications. Indonesian people are still doing inefficient utilization of energies, including electrical energy. Saving the energy is an important part of efficiency. The study was aimed to analyze: 1) characteristics of household at differnt electricity power class; 2) the correlations between awareness, responsibility, personal norms, behavior intention and electrical energy saving behavior in household; 3) factors that influence norm activation model in household; 4) some factors which influence the electrical energy saving behavior, electrical cost and the use of electrical tools in household. This study design was cross sectional study. This study was conducted in Taman Cimanggu region which is a location where KDK (Kedung Waringin Komplek) electrical substation exists, with the subject was household in Taman Cimanggu. The results found that respondent get the information about electrical energy saving from many medias and reference groups. The awareness, resposibility, personal norms, and behavior intention variable were not correlated with electrical energy saving behavior. Respondents were still to intend to save the energy, however they were not doing some actions. Althought respondents want to do some actions to save the electrical energy, but it is still on average level. The multiple linear regression result showed that some factors which have significant effect on electrical energy saving behavior, that were: electrical power class, knowledge, number of information and responsibility.
