Sixty three isolates of Actinomycetes were isolated from soil sample of Lore Lindu National Park forest, Central Sulawesi. Those isolates were grouped into six colour groups based on the color of their colony. Some isolates produced different diffusible pigment. Eight isolates of Actinomycetes produced clearing zone. Biomass and cellulase activity of three isolates, A5D4-3, D2D2-2, and E2D1-2 were measured based on their cellulolytic index. A5D4-3 and E2D1-2 had the highest biomass when peptone was added into CMC growth media, meanwhile D2D2-2 had the highest biomass when yeast extract was added into CMC growth media. A5D4-3 had higher FPase activity (0.022 nkat/ml) than CMCase and avicelase when CMC growth media was added with peptone. D2D2-2 had higher CMCase activity (0.373 nkat/ml) than avicelase and FPase when CMC growth media was added with yeast extract. E2D1-2 had higher avicelase activity (0.012 nkat/ml) than CMCase and FPase when CMC growth media was added with peptone.en
