The spatial scan statistics for detecting dengue fever hotspot in Bogor municipality
Abstract
The dengue fever is one of disease that could be a dangerous threat in our country, included Bogor Municipality. Since dengue fever are not spread evenly across maps, so the problem oriented policing pushes health officials to identify where it is at its worst, and most importantly, where and when one may emerge. A spatial scan statistic is used to detect and evaluate dengue fever clusters in a spatial setting in Bogor Municipality under the Poisson setting. Beside that, to perform the hotspot geographical surveillance map was also objected in this study. Bogor Municipality wields 823283 populations. This region consist of 68 villages and 93% whish are the risky district of suffering dengue fever. The study has shown the presence of two hotspots of dengue fever in Bogor Municipality. The primary hotspot was detected around the north of Bogor as well as in the Middle Bogor and Tanah Sareal distrinct.
