The objective of the experiment were to test yield potential and identify rice promising lines as part of multilocation yield trial. The experiment was conducted at two locations namely Bogor Regency, West Java and Kulon Progo Regency, D. I. Yogyakarta from January until May 2010. The experimental was arranged by Randomized Compately Block Design with three replications. The experimental consists of eight rice promising lines and two control varieties. Each lines having yield 8.228 ton/ha, 9.309 ton/ha, 8.692 ton/ha, 8.183 ton/ha, 8.222 ton/ha, 7.204 ton/ha, and 8.029 ton/ha recpectively. In addition, the location effected on the appreance of rice promising lines. There were interaction of genetic and environment on plant height, total number of tillers, panicle length, 1 000 grain weight and yield.en
