      Abstract
      Rimpang bangle (Zingiber cassumunar Roxb) telah digunakan sebagai obat tradisional dan rempah seperti halnya kunyit, dan telah diketahui mempunyai akitivitas antioksidan dan antiperadangan. PEnelitian ini bertujuan menguji kemampuan sediaan bangle dalam melindungi dan menyembuhkan hati tikus terhdap peradanganakibat induksi CCl4 dan mempelajari mekanisme antiperadangan sediaan bangle secara in vitro pada makrofag dan limfosit.
       
      Zingiber cassumunar Roxb, known as bangle, has antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activities and has been used for medicinal purposes traditionally. The aims of this research were to investigate whether administration of Z. cassumunar extracts orally may prevent acute liver damage induced by carbontetrachloride (CCl4) in rats and to elucidate the mechanisms of the anti-inflammation on macrophage and lymphocyte in vitro.
