dc.description.abstractThis field study report aims t o look through the marketing efficiency of soybean produced by farmer at ICabupaten Jember, East Java. The collected data is analysed by calculating the correlation of marketing margin at the farmer level and consumer" price. The result of this study shown that the existed marketing system worked effectively, it means that the distributions channels smoothly beginning from the farmelp efforts to consumers. The market where the marketing organization works is nearly perfect competition market. In this case, the increasing price at the consumer level was not received yet by the farmer. There is still a profit upon the normal profit satisfied by the middlemen for each kilogramme of soybean. However, the farmer has been avoided from too lower selling price. As there are competitions among the village trade*, the market price information given by the government through broadcasting and informations to other farmer who sell their soybean to subdistrict, it caused the farmer to avoid the lower selling price.id
